Abadi is a band dedicated to playing traditional Indonesian music known as Krontjong.
Krontjong is more than just music it’s deeply intertwined with the history and memories of the former Dutch East Indies. The songs carry the weight of nostalgia, longing, sorrow, and comfort, often tied to a past that has long been left unspoken. It is, in many ways, the music of a hidden history.
